Carers Week: do you know a family carer who may benefit from SWANN?

As you probably know, this year’s Carers Week takes place from the 8th – 14th June. Do you know that the new Shropshire Wellbeing and Navigation Network (SWANN) has been launched, and can assist unpaid family carers who may need some extra support with their own wellbeing – not just during Carers Week, but whenever they need it?

SWANN has been jointly commissioned by Shropshire Council and Shropshire Integrated Care Board and is delivered by a range of providers, including British Red Cross, Shropshire Mental Health Support, Community Resource and Live Well Shropshire. We’ve set up SWANN to assist unpaid family carers, as well as adults who may be struggling with wellbeing, independence, isolation, low-level mental health challenges, or recovery after illness or hospital discharge.

If you know a carer who could benefit from additional support, please consider referring them to SWANN. The service, offers early, preventative support to help people stay well, remain independent and reduce demand across statutory services.

Thank you for helping us highlight support for unpaid carers during Carers Week.
